Biography

I was born on February 23, 2000, in Isfahan. When I was 7 years old, I started to play piano. My mom got really excited when she heard me play and found a private piano teacher who knew braille music. I attended Shahid Mohebi School for the Blind in Tehran. I then went to Hedayat School in Tehran and then attended Fayazbakhsh school for middle school. I started going to the Music Conservatory in Tehran and studied in the first year of high school.

I graduated from Ballard High School in June 2018. In September 2018 I went to Cornish College of the Arts. I studied with Dr. Peter Mack, Jovino Santos Netto, Tom Varner, Ha-yang Kim, Jesse Myers, Kaley Eaton, and Marina Albero. I’ve also been studying with Dr. Rachel Matthews since 2016. I graduated from Cornish in May of 2022 and received my Bachelor of Music.

On August 29, 2015, My family and I moved to Seattle. We moved because in Tehran there are not enough mobility benefits or specialized music programs. However, in the US, there are plenty of benefits for blind people. I went to Seattle World School. afterward, I went to Ballard High School and participated in the Ballard High School Jazz Band.
